Who remembers ads for these from the late 80s?
I can't find a better image of the ad than this.
They had the HO Quad4 with 190 hp/160 lbft. Not bad for a little Olds.

Not your father's Oldsmobile? Sorry, but dad's was better.
Oldsmobile probably had the worst advertising of all history. I'm glad they're gone so they can't embarass themselves any longer.

My wife nee-girlfriend at the time had one. I Think it was a '87? Rusted out but the Quad4 ran great. It was fun playing with the on-board computer WITH BUILT IN CALCULATOR OMG while she was driving.

I was shocked when I rode in a freind's GM with a Quad4.
I was shocked at that little domestic NA engine, and how long it would pull.

I always had an unnatural love for the N Body. I had a couple Grand Ams, including a 1991 with the 2.5 an a stick (not many of those around). Gawd I love these cars...
The one in the pics checks all the Cutlass Calais International boxes (16" McLean rims, international body cladding, leather interior) except the 5-stick. I didn't know they made Internationals with a TH125?! Saddly, the tragic transmission choice means this is probably a plain-Jane 150hp Quad4 instead of the absolutely pissed 190hp version.
Sadface

Absolutely loving my '89.
Until the head gasket blows. That little Quad4 really wakes up around 3k RPM.
